Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role at a SEND secondary school in the Dudley/Oldbury area. You will support students with autism and complex needs inside and outside the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement and progress.

Starting September, the ideal candidate will have Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, experience supporting SEND, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience supporting students with communication and behaviour needs.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged students with autism, complex needs and behaviour needs inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality support and promote engagement and progress.
