Job description

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: ST6
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £130 per day

Do you have experience supporting children with Moderate Learning Difficulties or additional needs?

Are you a resilient and patient SEND TA who can build positive relationships with pupils?

Are you confident working as a classroom assistant and supporting children to engage with their learning?

TeacherActive are working with SEND settings across Stoke-on-Trent, supporting children who require additional support in school. Most children have diagnoses of MLD, SLD, PMLD, ASD and Learning Difficulties. We're looking for support staff to be available for us long-term to work in one of our alternative provision schools, providing a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to engage positively with their education and develop their confidence.

The successful SEND TA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND / SEMH needs
• Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours
• Confidence working within a classroom environment
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
