You will provide direct support with pupils' learning, development and engagement, following individualised learning programmes and helping pupils access the school's sensory curriculum.

The role may also involve providing personal care and supporting pupils with their physical and medical needs.

The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils who may have significant communication, mobility and developmental needs and will be able to provide patient, consistent and compassionate support throughout the school day.

  • Direct classroom experience supporting pupils with PMLD
  • Experience supporting children with complex learning and additional needs
  • Confidence supporting pupils with physical and/or medical needs
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a specialist classroom team
  • Commitment to supporting pupils' learning, development and independence

Experience supporting pupils with SLD, Autism, complex medical needs, sensory needs and/or personal care requirements would be advantageous.
