Job summary

The Supply Register are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leamington Spa. You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, helping them access learning and build confidence.

Working with the class teacher and school team, you will adapt learning, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils develop independence and social skills. This is a full-time role with immediate start and requires prior SEND experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
• Experience supporting children 1:1 and/or in small groups.
• Patient, compassionate and resilient approach.
• Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with their learning, development and engagement.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to adapt learning and provide appropriate support.
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
