Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants for a specialist setting in the DY14 area of Kidderminster, supporting young people aged 8-18 with complex SEN. The role focuses on day-to-day opportunities and long-term placements, primarily delivering 1:1 support under the guidance of teaching staff.

The successful candidate will have SEND experience, strong communication skills, and a patient, resilient, adaptable approach to meet individual pupil needs and help them access learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with complex SEN.
• Experience providing 1:1 support.
• Confidence adapting approach to individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEND.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs.
• Help pupils access learning and develop personal and social skills.
