Job summary

Academics Ltd partners with a welcoming Warrington primary school to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider school team to support learning, communication, social development and wellbeing, with personal care as needed and in line with safeguarding procedures. The role offers ongoing professional development and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children in a Primary School setting.
• Experience with pupils with SEND.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and commitment to child welfare.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow individual plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.
• Support pupil learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and access to all aspects of school life.
• Assist with personal care where required and in line with safeguarding procedures.
