Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across a variety of welcoming primary schools in Leicestershire. You will assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and help pupils learn, grow and participate confidently.

The role requires patience, enthusiasm and a commitment to safeguarding, with opportunities to gain experience across settings and potential for a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic.
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• DBS and safeguarding checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• The successful Teaching Assistant will be working as part of a friendly and supportive school team, assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils’ learning and development.
• You will play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
