Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Leamington Spa area. This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 and is expected to continue on a long-term basis until July 2027.

The role involves supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to help pupils access learning and achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting children with SEND within a school setting.
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets.

The school is looking for a patient, proactive and adaptable Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs.

Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Providing support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting pupils to access learning and achieve EHCP targets
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff
