Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with autism in a friendly three-form-entry primary near Forest Gate, Newham. The role is full-time, long-term, ASAP, and offers a daily rate of £95.83.

The pupil benefits from visual routines, movement breaks and consistent 1:1 support. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the child progress in a supportive environment. This position is long-term with potential to become permanent.

• Patience, consistency and a genuine interest in helping children progress are essential.

A friendly three-form-entry primary near Forest Gate needs a calm, reliable SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with autism and communication needs.

The pupil is settled and enjoys learning but benefits from visual routines, movement breaks and consistent 1:1 support. You’ll also help with small-group activities and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

Previous school, care or SEND experience would be ideal. More important is patience, consistency and a genuine interest in helping children progress.

This is a long-term role with potential to become permanent.

An enhanced DBS, references and safeguarding checks will be required.
