Job summary

Aspire People are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Brighton.

The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, with duties spanning interventions, behaviour support and collaboration with the SENCO and external professionals to enable all children to access the curriculum confidently.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working within a UK primary school in the last 2 years.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and communication difficulties.
  • Delivering targeted interventions to support learning and development.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum with confidence.

Aspire People are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant.

The school is seeking a compassionate and patient individual who has recent experience supporting pupils with additional needs and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

The Role
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
