Connex Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with autism in a friendly three-form-entry primary near Forest Gate, Newham. The role is full-time, long-term, ASAP, and offers a daily rate of £95.83.

The pupil benefits from visual routines, movement breaks and consistent 1:1 support. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the child progress in a supportive environment. This position is long-term with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience in schools, care or SEND is preferred.
• Patience, consistency and a genuine interest in helping children progress are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 2 pupil with autism and communication needs.
• Assist with small-group activities and visual routines.
• Provide 1:1 support and movement breaks.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO.
