Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for morning sessions (8:30–12:00) to provide focused, one-to-one support for a child with speech and language delay in an inclusive primary school in Quedgeley, Gloucester.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, applying targeted strategies to support language development while promoting confidence, independence, and positive engagement in learning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEND is desirable
• Understanding of speech and language needs and strategies to support communication
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

SEND Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only) | Supporting a Child with Speech & Language Delay | Inclusive Primary School in Quedgeley

Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding morning-only role? We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide focused, one-to-one support for a child with speech and language delay within a welcoming and inclusive primary school.

The Role

• Morning-only SEND Teaching Assistant position (8:30 – 12:00)
• Term 2 start, with potential extension into term 3
• Providing dedicated one-to-one support for a child with speech and language delay
• Using communication strategies and targeted interventions to support language development
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and participation in learning activities
