Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Staffordshire. The role involves 1:1 and small group SEND support, working with pupils with ASC, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH and learning difficulties, under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.

The role requires a Level 3 TA qualification and minimum 12 months of UK school experience. Flexible working arrangements and ongoing CPD are available, with safeguarding training provided.

Monarch Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Staffordshire.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and wider school team to provide targeted support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group SEND support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Delivering interventions focused on communication, literacy, numeracy and social development
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents
• Tracking progress and contributing to pupil development plans
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Minimum 12 months' experience working within a UK school
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
