Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis in Bristol. The role is full-time and long-term, starting in October, with a supportive school community that values every child and staff member.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and family to help the pupil feel safe, engaged and confident in learning and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• The role is a full-time, long-term 1:1 support position in a Key Stage 2 classroom.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support in the classroom.

About the Role

This is a full-time, long-term position supporting a pupil in a Key Stage 2 classroom on a 1:1 basis.

The pupil is currently undiagnosed and awaiting an EHCP, so you'll play a key role in helping shape the support they receive from the very beginning. This is a rewarding position where patience, creativity, and adaptability will make a real difference.

You'll be helping the child to feel safe, engaged, and confident in the classroom, supporting both their learning and emotional wellbeing.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Providing consistent 1:1 support within the classroom
• Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and family
• Encouraging positive routines, independence, and confidence
• Being a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day
