Job summary

Monarch Education is partnering with a Primary Trust in South Mancheser, seeking compassionate, resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils who need extra help to thrive both academically and emotionally. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff to help pupils build confidence, achieve their targets and enjoy a positive educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.

• Create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Implementing strategies to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Encouraging pupil independence and confidence
• Supporting children with EHCP targets where required
• Creating a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents

We're Looking For

• Previous experience working in a UK school or educational setting
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
• Right to work in the UK
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
