Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking SEND Teachers for long-term supply across Haverhill and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible. You’ll support pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist settings, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Duties include delivering high-quality teaching, adapting lessons to EHCP targets, collaborating with SENCOs and support staff, and upholding safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience working with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Ideal SEND Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
