Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a specialist primary school in Oldbury to recruit a SEND Teacher for a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will take on full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress and adapting learning to meet the needs of primary-aged pupils with PMLD.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Primary or SEND settings.
• Experience supporting children with PMLD and additional needs.
• Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist Primary school in Oldbury supporting pupils with PMLD. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment focused on meeting individual needs, promoting independence and helping every pupil engage positively with their education.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start, leading to a permanent position for the right SEND Teacher. The successful SEND Teacher will take on full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering appropriate lessons, assessing pupil progress and adapting learning to meet the individual needs of primary-aged pupils with PMLD.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching within a Primary or SEND setting
• Experience supporting children with PMLD and additional needs
• Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
