Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in Wakefield to recruit a SEND Specialist Teacher on a short-term or long-term basis. The role involves supporting pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD, adapting lessons to individual learning needs and creating a safe, engaging classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have QTS and experience with Complex Needs and PMLD, with a patient and resilient approach. PAYE rates are market-leading, with additional CPD and referral benefits.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and PMLD.
• Ability to adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wakefield supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping every pupil develop their independence, confidence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Specialist Teacher on a short-term or long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will support pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD, adapting lessons to individual learning needs while creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will have:

• QTS


• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and PMLD


• Experience adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs


• Strong classroom management skills


• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach


• A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
