Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a SEND Teacher to join a Birmingham primary school. This full-time, temporary role involves leading a small class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and providing a structured, nurturing environment.

Essential requirements include QTS with SEND experience, knowledge of the UK SEND/Alternative Provision curriculum, and proven support for children with ASD.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEND experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision curriculum.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
• Safeguarding Level 1 training and Enhanced DBS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small primary-aged class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Provide a structured, nurturing environment to support pupils.
