Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a Solihull primary school on a temporary, ongoing contract with potential for permanent appointment. You will lead a small class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in a nurturing, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEND experience essential
• Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision education system
• Experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour
• Minimum of 12 months' experience working within Special Educational Needs
• Safeguarding Level 1 training
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
• A strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs

Responsibilities

• Lead a small primary-aged class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and provide a structured, nurturing environment
• Support pupils who require an alternative approach to mainstream education
