Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a SEND Teacher to join a Trafford-based school from the end of January 2027. The post is Monday to Wednesday on a long-term maternity cover basis.

You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with PMLD and other complex needs, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment with strong classroom management and communication.

Are you a qualified Teacher with QTS looking for a part-time role in a welcoming SEND setting?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a warm and welcoming SEND school in Trafford. The school supports children with a range of additional needs including PMLD, Autism / ASD and Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, with a friendly and supportive Senior Leadership Team.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher from the end of January 2027 to work Monday to Wednesday on a long-term maternity cover basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons while creating a safe, supportive learning environment that meets the individual needs of pupils with PMLD and other complex needs.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with PMLD
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, SLD or other additional needs
• Strong knowledge of adapting and differentiating learning for pupils with complex needs
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
