Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a warm SEND school in Trafford. We are seeking a SEND Teacher on a long-term maternity cover basis, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons Monday to Wednesday from the end of January 2027. The role requires QTS and experience with PMLD and other complex needs.

You'll join a supportive Senior Leadership Team and benefit from market-leading pay, CPD via My-Progression, 24/7 consultant support, and a referral scheme (£100). Paid on PAYE with clear tax/VAT handling.

Qualifications

Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Trafford

Start Date: End of January 2027

Salary: £160 - £240 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a warm and welcoming SEND school in Trafford. The school supports children with a range of additional needs including PMLD, Autism / ASD and Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, with a friendly and supportive Senior Leadership Team.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher from the end of January 2027 to work Monday to Wednesday on a long‑term maternity cover basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons while creating a safe, supportive learning environment that meets the individual needs of pupils with PMLD and other complex needs.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with PMLD
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, SLD or other additional needs
• Strong knowledge of adapting and differentiating learning for pupils with complex needs
