Job summary

Provide Education is seeking a SEND Teacher for a temp-perm position in Retford. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN and work with the SEN team to implement EHCP targets. A QTS or equivalent is essential, with experience in SEN settings and strong behavior-management skills.

The role offers a daily rate of £120–£225, with weekly pay, and a chance for long-term roles across Nottinghamshire. DBS checks are required as part of the onboarding process.

Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Retford

Start Date: ASAP

Daily Pay Rate: £120–£215 (depending on experience and qualifications)

The role will be on a temp-perm basis, following a successful probation period.

About the Role
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs and Complex care, linked to trauma)
  • Support pupils in Key Stages 1–4 with bespoke, sensory-aware, and communication-focused teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to implement and monitor EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
  • Track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on educational outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
  • Proven experience teaching in an SEN or specialist setting
  • Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and sensory integration strategies
  • Strong behavior-management skills and a calm, resilient approach
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and record-keeping abilities
