Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a Newark SEND provision to recruit a SEND Teacher for a long-term, full-time role supporting children with Autism/ASD and diverse complex needs.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt teaching to individual learning requirements, and collaborate with support staff to drive positive progress in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs welcome) and classroom management skills.
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs.
• Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with complex needs.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision in Newark that supports children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including Autism / ASD. The setting is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis, supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs. The successful SEND Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs and work closely with support staff to help pupils make positive progress.

A Child and Adult DBS!

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
• The ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
