Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teacher for a Newark-based provision. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to individual needs and collaborate with support staff to drive progress for children with complex needs.

The role targets applicants with QTS and experience with SEND/ASD. DBS checks are standard, and the school seeks a patient, adaptable educator to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS (ECTs welcome).
• Experience delivering lessons to pupils with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs.
• Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs and maintain strong behavior management.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach with effective communication.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision in Newark that supports children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including Autism / ASD. The setting is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis, supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs. The successful SEND Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs and work closely with support staff to help pupils make positive progress.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• A Child and Adult DBS!
• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
• The ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
