Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teacher for a Newark-based provision to support children and young people with complex needs including Autism/ASD. The role is long-term, full-time, and involves delivering engaging lessons, adapting content to individual needs, and collaborating with support staff who assist pupils in making progress.

The successful candidate should hold QTS (ECTs welcome) and have prior SEND experience, excellent classroom management, and strong communication skills,

Job Title: SEND Teacher

Are you confident supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and a range of additional needs?

Are you a qualified teacher with a patient, adaptable and engaging approach?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision in Newark that supports children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including Autism / ASD. The setting is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis, supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs. The successful SEND Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs and work closely with support staff to help pupils make positive progress.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• A Child and Adult DBS!
• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
• The ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needsExcellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
