Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a SEND TA for a specialist school in Liverpool city centre. The role is part-time and focused on supporting children with MLD, SLD, and PMLD, including personal care where needed.

You will work closely with teachers to create a safe, engaging learning environment and build trusting relationships with pupils. The position is paid on a PAYE basis with opportunities for CPD training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (MLD/SLD/PMLD).
• Willingness to provide personal care to pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to form positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The successful SEND TA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, including MLD, SLD and PMLD
• Experience or willingness to provide personal care to pupils with additional needs
• The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children with complex needs

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Liverpool city centre, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment, offering weekly CPD training and excellent opportunities for professional development and progression into Senior Leadership Team (SLT) roles.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND TA on a part-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful SEND TA will support pupils with a variety of complex learning needs, providing personal care where required, building positive relationships and working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
