Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in Trafford, starting after October half term. The role involves providing 1:1 and classroom support to pupils with SEND across KS3 and KS4, including those with ASD, ADHD and PMLD.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience with pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD.
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support.
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
• Willingness to support with personal care where required.

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Trafford Start Date: After October Half Term Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

Can you provide patient, caring and consistent 1:1 support to help young people achieve their full potential?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely and caring SEND school in Trafford, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for young people with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and PMLD.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from after October half term. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and classroom support, assist with behaviour management and personal care where required, and work closely with teaching staff to support pupils throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD
• Confidence providing 1:1 and classroom-based support
• Experience supporting behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
• Willingness to support with personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
