Job summary

St Luke’s CE (A) Primary in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton, is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for children with SEND. The role involves coordinating with staff and the SENCO to establish learning support, planning activities, and tracking pupils’ progress with regular feedback.

This fixed-term post supports funding for SEND and requires a Level 2 TA qualification. Visits to the school are welcome; a DBS check and references are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant SEND support experience or training.
• Ability to work with staff and SENCO to plan targeted support.
• Understanding of primary school learning objectives and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• working with staff & SENCO to establish appropriate learning support
• planning and implementing agreed teaching activities
• monitoring and evaluating pupils’ responses to learning activities through observational assessments and completing records achievement/progress against pre-determined learning objectives
• providing objective and accurate regular feedback on pupils’ achievement, progress, problems, etc.
