Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide SEND and primary support across UK schools. The role covers 1:1 and small-group support, phonics and literacy/numeracy assistance, and helping pupils develop independence and confidence.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 TA qualification with recent UK school experience and be calm, patient, and reliable, ready to work with primary-aged children and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• At least 6 months UK school experience.
• Experience supporting SEND is desirable.
• Confident working with primary-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Assist differentiated classroom activities.
• Support phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
• Help pupils develop independence and confidence.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs.
• Support classroom routines and transitions.
• Monitor pupil engagement and feed back to teaching staff.
