Job summary

Knowsley Lane Primary School is seeking two outstanding Teaching Assistants Level 2 to provide one-to-one SEND support. You will work closely with class teachers to reinforce learning, adapt resources and support children with SEN inside and outside the classroom.

The role requires experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN knowledge, strong behaviour management, and a calm, empathetic approach. SEMH understanding is essential, with opportunities to develop professionally within Vantage Academy

Qualifications

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
Experience of working with children with SEN.
Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language difficulties).
Ability to reinforce lesson material, adapt resources, and assist with tasks to support learning progress.
Patience, empathy, resilience and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to work as a part of a team.
Punctual and reliable.
Calm and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

Support children with SEND inside and outside the classroom.
Maintain a strong understanding of SEMH and remain calm and supportive.
Work closely with class teachers to support the child and encourage engagement across activities.
