Job summary

Hotwells Primary School is inviting applications for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils, particularly those with SEND, and assisting teachers with planning, recording, and resource preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic school team.
• Reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, working alongside teaching staff to deliver learning activities.
• Assist teachers in the plan, do, review cycle, including record keeping and resource preparation.
• Help implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies and record incidents on CPOMs.
• Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to EHCPs and SEND Support Plans.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
