Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Brigg and the wider area.

You will support primary-aged pupils, including 1:1 and small-group sessions, and assist with classroom activities to help pupils engage and progress. We welcome candidates with SEND experience and those holding Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications, though these are desirable rather than essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children or young people in a school setting.
• Level 2/Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with SEND, 1:1 support, interventions or small-group work.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Good communication and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support or support for small groups to help pupils engage with learning.
• Assist with classroom activities and support pupils with additional learning needs.
• Work alongside class teachers and school staff to help pupils make progress.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
