Job summary

Alder Brook Primary Partnership is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND/SEMH needs in our SEND school and PRU. The role requires experience with EYFS/KS1 and a passion for nurturing learners who face barriers to progress.

You will provide tailored interventions, help create a calm, supportive classroom environment, and work with a group of pupils to promote engagement and achievement in line with safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with SEND/SEMH needs is essential.
• Experience of working with EYFS/KS1 is required.
• Ability to support behaviours which challenge and create a nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support and interventions to help children overcome barriers to learning.
• Work with a group of children to promote academic progress in an educational setting.
• Support pupils in different settings as needed, ensuring safeguarding commitments are followed.
