Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking a SEND Practitioner to join a welcoming team. This full-time, term-time role focuses on supporting learners with EHCPs or additional needs, both one-to-one and in groups, helping them access mainstream classes and reach their goals.

The successful candidate will contribute to students’ academic progress and personal growth within a supportive environment, with opportunities for development and DBS checks as part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with young people with additional needs.
• Ability to support progress in SEND across four areas and achieve learning goals.
• IT and administration skills.
• Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to work towards.
• Level 3 Award for Learning Support Practitioners or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support learners one-to-one and in group settings.
• Help learners access mainstream classes and build independence.
