Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a coordinator for the SEND Local Offer within the SEND Improvement team of Children's All Age Disability. The role involves keeping content accurate with partners, gathering family feedback and running engagement activities, with occasional evenings and weekends and county-wide travel.

The post is fixed-term to 31 March 2028, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working and an enhanced DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of working with children and young people with SEND and their families.
• Experience in a SEND, education, community, information, advice or family support setting.
• Experience of developing or reviewing clear and accessible information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and maintenance of the SEND Local Offer.
• Keep information accurate, accessible and up to date with services and partners.
• Gather and act on feedback from children, young people, parent carers and practitioners.
• Support user testing, identify gaps and improve content.
• Build relationships with community networks and trusted representatives.
• Support engagement activity, roadshows and communication campaigns.
• Use feedback and analytics to identify gaps and improvements.
• Support development of Local Inclusion Support online resource for education settings.
• Report on progress, impact, engagement and improvement actions.
• Travel across Worcestershire, including to areas with limited public transport, and work some evenings and weekends.
