Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Local Offer Co-ordinator to lead the ongoing development, review and maintenance of the SEND Local Offer. The role focuses on making information clear, accessible and trusted for families, children and young people, practitioners and partners across Worcestershire.

You will work across education, health and social care, build strong community links, support the Local Inclusion Support online resource, and report on progress and impact.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of working with children and young people with SEND and their families.
• Experience in SEND, education, community information, advice or family support setting.
• Strong understanding of the SEND system and the information needs of families.
• Excellent communication, engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience of developing or reviewing clear and accessible information.
• Ability to work across services and partners to drive improvement.
• Commitment to co-production, inclusion, accessibility and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate development and maintenance of the SEND Local Offer.
• Work with services and partners to keep information accurate, accessible and up to date.
• Gather and act on feedback from children, young people, parent carers and practitioners.
• Support engagement activity, roadshows and communication campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with community networks, voluntary and community sector organisations and trusted representatives to reach families who may be less likely to use established SEND information and participation routes.
• Use feedback, analytics and partnership intelligence to identify gaps and improvements.
• Support the development of the Local Inclusion Support online resource.
• Report on progress, impact, engagement activity and improvement actions.
