Job summary

Burnley College is seeking Support Practitioners to provide high-quality support to individuals or small groups, delivering sessions that help learners understand and record their work while considering their needs for holistic health and wellbeing.

The role focuses on supporting learners with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), requires general education to level 3 and Maths/English to level 2, and a Level 2 Learning Support qualification or willingness to achieve one promptly.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Learning Support qualification or be willing to achieve one in a timely manner.
• General education to at least level 3; Maths and English to at least level 2.
• Experience or understanding of SEN needs and learning barriers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality support to individuals or small groups across the College.
• Help learners understand and record their work while considering individual needs.
• Contribute to safeguarding and promoting welfare of learners and to the college’s inclusive environment.
