Job summary

Askham Bryan College is seeking a fixed-term, part-year Learning Support Practitioner within its further education provision. The role focuses on tailored, individual learning support for students with high needs and SEND to help them engage in college life and progress in studies.

DBS checks are required, and safeguarding declarations apply. Applicants should have experience of supporting learners with SEND and an understanding of autism, ADHD, dyslexia and SEMH.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learners with SEND
• Good understanding of a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and SEMH
• Acceptances of online checks and safeguarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored learning and individual support to students with high needs.
• Help students engage fully in college life and achieve their goals.
• Support students to make meaningful progress in their learning.
