Job summary

Bradford Council is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support children with SEND in resourced provisions across Bradford’s primary and secondary schools.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support, contributing to an inclusive learning environment and helping pupils achieve their full potential. Training and ongoing professional development are provided within a collaborative, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience, knowledge and understanding of supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff teams.
• A genuine passion for working with and improving outcomes for children with SEND.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team. A proactive, flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and a dedication to ensuring the safety of children and young people.

Job Introduction

Bradford Council is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated learning support assistants who have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The resourced provision (RP) service provides tailored support for children with communication and interaction needs, including Autism, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). We have established several successful Resourced Provisions across both primary and secondary schools throughout Bradford.

We are now seeking SEND Learning Support Assistants with the skills, knowledge and experience to expand the high-quality support.

We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria – GCSE Maths and English: Level 4 / Grade C or above (or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths and English)
