Job summary

Learning Support Assistant (SEND)

Location: Bradford Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs? We're looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Bradford.

You will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, encouraging independence, confidence, and achievement in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual student requirements.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Provide emotional support and pastoral guidance.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning plans.
  • Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all learners.
About You:
  • Previous experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable.
  • Understanding of SEND and inclusive educational practices.
  • Calm, resilient, and adaptable nature.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
