Job summary

Teaching Personnel is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support students in Bradford's secondary schools. The role covers 1:1 and small-group work, aiding pupils with additional learning and SEN needs, and promoting engagement, confidence and positive behaviour in lessons.

You will work closely with teachers to help students reach their potential, providing academic and emotional support and contributing to an inclusive learning environment across multiple schools in Bradford.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in UK schools.
  • Confident supporting secondary-aged pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • References covering recent employment history.

Responsibilities

The Role
  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist pupils with additional learning and SEN needs
  • Encourage engagement, confidence and positive behaviour in lessons
  • Work closely with teachers to help students reach their potential
  • Provide academic and emotional support where required
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements
  • Have previous experience working within UK schools
  • Be confident supporting secondary-aged pupils
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about education and helping young people succeed
  • Be able to provide references covering your recent employment history
DBS Requirement

All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Teaching Personnel. If you do not currently have a valid DBS, you must be willing to cover the cost of obtaining one as part of the safer recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
