Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant in Wiltshire to support pupils with SEND on a full-time, temporary basis. You will work alongside teachers and support staff to provide classroom-based and one-to-one assistance for pupils with Autism/ASC, attachment disorders and SEMH difficulties, helping them engage with learning and build confidence.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
Experience supporting pupils with ASC, attachment disorders and/or SEMH difficulties is advantageous.
Ability to provide effective classroom-based and one-to-one support.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A patient, caring and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom-based and one-to-one support for pupils with SEND.
Support teachers and other staff to promote engagement and confidence in learning.
Help pupils develop independence and essential life skills.
