Job summary

Keys Education is seeking an Interventions Assistant to work in a small independent school for KS2/KS3 students with SEND and EHCPs. The role focuses on delivering tailored 1:1 interventions, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs, and assisting teachers in delivering education and care to pupils with complex needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a SEND environment or similar provision.
  • Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted 1:1 interventions and support for children with SEND and EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCO and school staff.
  • Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and behavioural challenges.
  • Assist with learning activities under teacher guidance to promote engagement.
  • Record data on pupil progress and assist with monitoring and reporting.
  • Promote inclusive practice and trauma‑informed approaches in line with school values.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations.
