Job summary

Keys Education in East Heckington, UK seeks a dedicated practitioner to deliver 1:1 interventions for children with SEND and EHCPs, directly in the classroom. You will help remove barriers to learning, foster independence, and support teachers with pupils who have complex needs and challenging behaviours.

The role offers a trauma-informed approach in small groups (4 students to 2 adults) and access to specialist provision with strong safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

  • Two years minimum experience in a SEND environment or similar.
  • A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous.
  • Commitment to SEND and SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and behavioural challenges while delivering targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with SENDCo delivering interventions and classroom support under guidance of SENDCo and EHCP outcomes.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, welfare teams, clinical professionals, and external professionals.
  • Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting support to individual needs under teacher guidance.
  • Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed.
  • Assist pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches.
