Job summary

Brighton Girls - GDST in Brighton, East Sussex is seeking a SEND Coordinator/Inclusion Manager. This permanent, full-time role focuses on strategic development of SEND policy, bridging barriers to learning for SEND pupils, and providing extensive support to pupils and families.

You will screen and assess SEND needs and guide staff in inclusive practices. The role emphasizes keeping the school aligned with current SEND legislation, delivering staff training, and promoting successful learning

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge base of SEND needs in general.
Experience in screening and assessment for SEND pupils and monitoring progress.
Experience delivering staff training on SEND provision.

Responsibilities

Oversee screening and assessment procedures for SEND pupils and identify those who need support.
Monitor SEND pupils' progress throughout their school life.
Support teaching and learning of SEND and EAL pupils through one-to-one sessions and intervention; develop study skills.
Deliver training for staff on recognizing and catering for SEND provision.
