Job summary

TeacherActive has partnered with a Birmingham school dedicated to academic excellence and inclusion, offering pupils strong support to achieve the best outcomes. The Assistant SENDCo will join a collaborative Inclusion Team and help develop a proactive SEND provision with a focus on professional development.

The role is permanent, full-time (term-time 39 weeks per year). You will support SEND leadership, assist with daily SEND and inclusion tasks, undertake EHCP reviews and help manage Teaching

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils with SEND.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and ability to contribute to reviews.
• Understanding of current SEND policy and practice.
• Ability to support Teaching Support Assistants.
• Excellent communication, organisation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership and management of SEND provision.
• Assist with daily SEND and inclusion arrangements.
• Undertake EHCP reviews.
• Share responsibility for line management of Teaching Support Assistants.
