Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an English and Maths Tutor for a Year 11 student in Nuneaton. The role involves 15 hours of tutoring per week, mainly in the student’s home, with a focus on supporting SEND needs and delivering personalised tuition.

The successful candidate will have secondary-level English and Maths teaching/tutoring experience, a patient and engaging approach, and the ability to adapt sessions to individual learning needs. Long-term opportunity with competitive rates.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths at secondary level, ideally KS4.
• Experience supporting students with SEND needs.
• Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or personalised learning.
• Strong knowledge of the English and Maths curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one English and Maths tuition to a Year 11 student.
• Deliver engaging tutoring sessions at the student’s home in Nuneaton.
• Adapt sessions to meet individual SEND needs and promote progress.
• Support student engagement and track progress over time.
