Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor for 1-to-1 outreach in Bromley, covering Year 7 to GCSE. This 0-hour contract typically delivers 10–15 hours per learner per week, mainly during school hours, at home or community venues.

Strong secondary Maths and English teaching experience is essential; GCSE Science is welcome. You'll tailor structured lessons, support learners with SEND, monitor progress and help re-engage with education.

Qualifications

• Strong secondary Maths and English teaching experience.
• Experience teaching students Year 7 to GCSE.
• At least two years' experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND.
• Knowledge of effective SEND strategies.
• Empathetic teaching style and patience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-to-1 tuition to secondary learners from Year 7 through GCSE.
• Teach Maths and English across the secondary curriculum.
• Identify gaps and respond to individual needs.
• Prepare personalised lesson plans and resources.
• Adapt teaching according to each learner's SEND profile.
• Support academic development alongside confidence and engagement.
