Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a SEND Emotional Support Facilitator to join the Foundation Learning & Additional Learning Support team at Shuttleworth College - Old Warden. You will provide high-quality emotional, social and behavioural support to learners with SEND and EHCPs, fostering confidence, resilience and readiness to learn.

The role includes Haven Provision management, ELSA interventions and collaboration with staff, parents and external agencies, with safeguarding as a priority.

Qualifications

• Holds A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification, GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• ELSA qualification or willingness to achieve one; strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• SEND Emotional Wellbeing & Learner Support for learners with SEND/EHCPs.
• Haven Provision Management & Social Development to promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
• ELSA Interventions, Mentoring & Enrichment through structured one-to-one and group work.
• Collaboration with curriculum staff, pastoral ALS teams, parents/carers and external agencies; maintain records and monitor progress.
• Safeguarding, inclusion and professional development aligned with college values.
